Dykeman Donovan Theater Lab reinterprets Anton Chekhov’s short plays “The Bear” and “The Proposal” and short story “Kashtanka” in a mash-up of live original music, acting and puppetry. This production is a whirlwind of comedy and serious moments that examines both the respectable and the ugly nature of human beings. “Chekhov Revisited” will leave the audience asking questions about their roles in society and the more animalistic sides of their humanity–and hopefully laughing while they’re doing so.
