Open Members' Shows

Would you like to show your visual art at ASK? All members are invited to submit their artwork for a Solo/Group Show or to the ongoing Open Members' Shows.

Solo / Group Exhibits

(Not Open members' Shows)

Now accepting proposals for 2013: Please send the completed Exhibition Proposal Form along with jpg files on cd and/or prints of your work. Ask receives 35% of all sales. (Currently 2012 is filled; please send proposals for 2013 April-May 2012. For future please send Attn: 2013 Proposals, 97 Broadway, Kingston NY 12401.

On an ongoing basis, the Gallery Committee invites our member artists to submit proposals for future shows, themes, or to volunteer to curate a show. Please mail your information to ASK, or just stop by in person at 97 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401. Office hours are Tuesday - Friday, 1 - 6 pm. Your ideas are welcome!

Please note: For accepted artists/proposals, ASK requests a $250 donation to be put towards the cost of the invitations and the Opening Reception. ASK also requests accepted artists to consider gallery sitting on a Saturday once during the month of the show.

 

Exhibiting in an Open Members' shows is a benefit of membership and is open to all current ASK members. Any fine art medium, note: 3 dimensional will only be considered if it is under 30 lbs. All work is displayed at the discretion of the show’s Exhibition Coordinator. A $10 hanging fee per piece is requested. Ask receives 35% of all sales.

Proper Framing for Entries

Members please be aware of the difficulty of hanging your artwork if they are not framed with eye screws and wires on the back. It is almost impossible to hang them easily and safely. The length of time to put them on the wall causes so much frustration to the curator that they might be rejected in the future. Please take this to heart. ~ Thank you, Gallery Chair

Publicity of Your Work in Member Shows

Please send jpg files of your work to communications@askforarts.org, with the name and month of the show in the subject line and complete caption information (title, name, media) in the body of the email. For best results, please send a full month before the exhibit. For a March show, send your images by February 1st.
