Join us for a trio of exquisite singer/songwriters.
Ami Madeleine (Rosendale, NY)
Ami Madeleine’s original songs are inspired by the natural world and the people within it. Although sung through her personal lens, Ami’s music reflects a place within all of us – allowing us to explore the depths of love, life, heartbreak and death while keeping us safe within the sweet strumming world she creates. She has two full-length albums and is working on a new EP to be released this year. Whether plucking a uke, fingerpicking guitar, or thumbing a kalimba, Ami’s songs take you into dreamlike introspection and carry you back to life with loving perspective
Matthew Fowler (Gainesville, FL)
Gainesville, Florida-based artist, Matthew Fowler, is the perfect storm of all the essential singer-songwriter elements: a flawlessly raw yet organic voice, intricate melodies, compelling musicianship, and an overwhelmingly rich and rootsy sound. Opening for acts like Richard Thompson, Damien Jurado, Sea Wolf, Dylan LeBlanc, Angel Olsen, and Peter Mulvey, along with live performances on various NPR affiliates, led Fowler to be handpicked by Sean Rowe (ANTI-records) as his opening act for a spring tour across the Midwest and Northeast.
Zan & the Winter Folk (Troy, NY)
Troy, New York-based artist Zan Strumfeld has carved her own little niche of winter folk—lullabies for the lonely, anthems for the revivalists, ballads for the hopeful. With a soulful and seductive vulnerability, Zan’s songs of love and heartbreak are complemented by the indie folk/bluegrass sound of her band. In 2018, Zan & the Winter Folk were named the Best Folk Band of 2018 by The Alt and have opened for acts including grammy-nominated Robbie Fulks, Sean Rowe, Ben Caplan, and The National Reserve.
